I want to start out by thanking you for coming to my 7 Minute Diet review and let you know that you have come to the right place if you are looking for a comprehensive 7 Minute Diet review, which is the combined work of Dr Campbell, Jon Benson, Nathon Hopkins and Registered Dietitian Kelli Jennings who are all experts in the area of nutrition and health.
I want to clarify that I will be giving you an unrestricted and honest 7 Minute Diet review. You are about to read the ESSENTIAL details that you need to know before you grab a copy for yourself.
So what exactly is this weight loss diet the “7 Minute Diet” all about?
So on with my 7 Minute Diet Review.
“7 Minute Diet” is a comprehensive guide on how you can lose weight written by three experts in field of nutrition and health.
The 7 Minute Diet guide shows you numerous unorthodox methods to lose those stubborn pounds through what they call “fat-burning switches”. These are not typical methods that you find in most weight loss programs, yet they are simple enough that you can implement them in a matter of seconds. Each “fat-burning switch” is backed with a written explanation that includes both a scientific and a medical basis. They also go on to explain and clarify how to prepare it, where to get it, any side effect it might have, contraindications and how to consume it.
As part of my 7 Minute Diet review I would like to give you an example of one of the “fat-burning switches” which is drinking ice water.
Now everyone has heard that you should drink 8 glasses of water every day to keep your body hydrated. But not very many of us think about it in terms of helping us to lose weight.
I have read several books over the last few months and wrote several reviews (not just this 7 Minute Diet review) on weight loss programs and fat burning diet plans and don’t get me wrong there is some excellent material out there. But this is one of the first guides that I have read that give you the exact instructions on how you can make simple “fat-burning switches” with each switch only taking seconds to complete that have such a large impact on not only quick weight loss, but also long term weight loss.
Here’s exactly how the “fat-burning switch” drinking ice water works:
Drinking ice water takes less than 30 seconds and can burn an extra 70 calories by day. The simple yet brilliant explanation for this is that when you drink ice cold water your body must work extra hard to bring the temperature down.
The temperature of the ice water has to be raised from 0 degrees Celsius to 37 degrees Celsius. A calorie is just a unit of energy, it’s the amount of energy it takes to raise one gram of water 1 degree Celsius.
So with some simple math it takes approximately 70 calories to warm up 64 oz of ice water. If you add up 70 calories each day for the entire week and that’s 490 calories burned, without even stepping into the gym. Not to mention all the value that drinking water has anyway. There is more information about this in the 7 Minute Diet book.
After reading about this method and more importantly the explanation behind it, this method seems like a complete win-win. This is one of the many 21 fat-burning switches that are taught in the 7 Minute Diet.
My 7 Minute Diet Review would not be complete without mentioning the bad things about the book.
Just like every other product and book I have ever reviewed (not just this 7 Minute Diet review), no product is perfect and here are the flaws that I noticed after reading the 7 Minute Diet.
Only one of the fat burning switches includes exercise and even then it is very minimal, I think that in order to accelerate quick weight loss some sort of exercise should be incorporated.
And how about the GOOD things about the 7 Minute Diet?
It is a very easy and enjoyable read to say the least. There aren’t the usual pages and pages of fluff material, all the material that is included in this book is useful
All the 21 fat burning switches are scientifically and medically based and presented to educate the reader
It is SIMPLE – this is exactly why this fat loss product is so successful
They are all easy to turn on and most takes seconds with the longest one being 2 minutes, this is really key because most of us live extremely busy lives
Comes complete with an online coach who can guide and help you until you achieve your desired results
Overall, what do I think?
The 7 Minute Diet guide is in my eyes the best non fluff guide on how exactly to easily burn some serious calories. All of the authors boast an impressive background in the field of nutrition and health and it truly shows through this product. This guide is packed from start to finish on easy fat burning switches that can be implemented within seconds. I have learned too many things to even list in my 7 Minute Diet review that I have been using in my life for quite some time now. If you are sick of trying new diet programs because so many others have failed in the past then this one is for you. I definitely feel you should pick up the 7 Minute Diet and read it from start to finish! You won’t regret this one!
When I was reading through the 7 Minute Diet guide I learned some very interesting things about metabolism that I didn’t know. I thought that either you were lucky to have a fast metabolism or doomed with a slow one. I also believe that it had a lot to do with your genetics. But it has nothing to do with the above it really involves the breakdown, consumption, storage and use of food as energy. There are several factors that contribute to your metabolism. You have your resting metabolic rate which is the number of calories that your body can burn per day that is based on your sex, height, age, body fat percentage and weight. Then you can add hormones and enzymes to the mix which influence the breakdown and storage of nutrients. Add the cycle of hunger and feeling full to the mix. Lastly and maybe the most important of all is the efficiency of the metabolic process. Chances are that if you are overweight you can bet that your metabolism isn’t working properly.
So if you have been on every fat loss diet out there and nothing seems to be working it isn’t your fault. Your unhealthy metabolism is probably holding you back, it’s simply not healthy enough to effectively lose weight. You could be eating the exact same amount of food as someone of a healthy body weight and your bodies will respond completely different to the exact same food. Your body decides to store it more as fat instead of burning it off.
It all comes down to the fact that overweight and obese people are resistant to insulin. Here is where it gets a little complicated. I am going to try to sum this up as best as possible but I will leave you to the 7 Minute Diet guide for the full explanation. Basically unhealthy, insulin resistant cells need more insulin to process an amount of food that has been converted to blood sugar. An alarming statistic I learned in the guide is that more than 30% of overweight adults and over 60% of obese adults have insulin resistance and they aren’t even aware of it.
So the purpose of insulin is to get the food that has been converted into sugar out of your blood stream and into the cells where it is stored and used for energy. So if you have insulin resistant cells you will require more insulin for the same job. Then the more insulin that is pumped out the more resistant your cells get.
You have probably read a lot of fat loss diet plans and almost all of them usually agree on the following point, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The 7 Minute Diet isn’t any different in this respect. This doesn’t mean that you can eat breakfast and skip either lunch or dinner. What they mean is that you have to get your body on the right track from the beginning of the day. This is when you help your body decide what it is going to burn for fuel for the next 4-12 hours.
Unfortunately for most of us breakfast is usually as high as 80% starch, along with a lot of sugar. Eating a breakfast like this can shut down your body from burning fat for up to twelve hour or more. Now the 7 Minute Diet is not like other weight loss programs or the typical fat burning diet out there, it’s not about dieting at all, but there are still some important enemies you need to be aware of. They suggest that instead of having a glass of juice for breakfast you substitute it for a real apple. Apples contain Pectin (as do Pears) and this nutrient has been known to slow down the entrance of sugar into the bloodstream. Therefore it lowers the level of insulin that is secreted.
Another hormone that I learned about while reading through the 7 Minute Diet guide is Cortisol. This hormone is affected by stress and increasing with stress. Cortisol also increases insulin resistance. Your blood sugar and insulin are affected by lack of sleep or unnatural sleep patterns.
Almost every single fat loss diet that I have read has had the basic principle of eat less and exercise more, but this isn’t the whole story and in the 7 Minute Diet guide you get the missing pieces of information.
Here is some background about the authors of the 7 Minute Diet. Dr Campbell completed a triple major in three years in college. He then went on to get his medical degree from Mexico and trained in the Orlando Regional Medical Center. A fun fact about Dr Campbell is that he is fluent in six different languages; there aren’t very many people who can claim this.
Dr Campbell is a co-editor of medical journals and has published many chapters in medical journals. He serves as a medical director in a clinical practice in the Houston area. He specializes in clinical immunotoxicology which is the study of how toxins affect the human body and its immune system.
Next up is Jon Benson who is a three time bestselling author in nutrition and fitness. He is also a motivational speaker. Jon went from being very unhealthy and near death (not able to follow a single weight loss plan) at the age of 32 to becoming a fitness icon in his mid 40s. He is an example of how anyone can change their bodies at anytime in their lives. All that you need is proper weight loss programs and some motivation.
Nathan Hopkins is a fitness author as well as a personal coach online to thousands of people. Nathan also struggled with obesity for a good portion of his life. He knows how to follow a weight loss plan as he lost 85 pounds through the principles he has created his health material around. He discovered many of the “fat switches” in the 7 minute diet.
They also have a Registered Dietitian on their already exceptional team. Kelli Jennings is passionate about healthy eating, wellness, disease prevention and sports nutrition. She earned her residency in Washington and accepted a position that specialized in cardiac disease, neurology, neonates and diabetes. The goal of this website is to provide you with a useful 7 Minute Diet Review and after reading through the entire guide I learned some very interesting things.
One of the biggest problems that we have as a modernized society is that we are literally too large. I will give you an example of one of the “fat burning switches” that is found in this fat loss product. This switch is simply drink ice water several times a day, this is a incredibly simple way to lose an extra 70 calories per day. This works because our body has to work to warm the water to body temperature so your body has to work (burn calories) in order to do this. Another benefit to drinking plenty of water is that you are able to control your food intake better. Sometimes we misread our thirst signals for hunger instead of hydrating ourselves.
Here is a little fun fact that I learned through reading the 7 Minute Diet guide, many people believe that drinking caffeinated drinks don’t hydrate you, but this is simple not true. There is a slight diuretic effect from the caffeine that will make you urinate more but it’s not usually enough take away from the fluid you drank.
